Ignore the textual critic or hemeneuticist who applies the hermeneutics of the Greeks passed down from the church that deified Mary, welcomed the Judaisers, conquered the laity and compromised with the governement and flesh; all things warned against by John, ….

Ignore the one who is well-steeped in western thought; Greek rhetoric, debate, logic, philosophy and myth….

…and your opinion based in sampling may change. It is a Hebrew book. The Greek church didn't want to be Hebrew.

By 400 AD they chased out all the Hebrews and purged anything looking Jewish; even claiming that the Septuagint (in Greek) was more reliable than the Hebrew original OT.

Yeah you can trust those guys for your hermeneutics and textual criticism if you don't want to know what it says.

They asked for the bare minimum of Christianity… so Paul chose to preach nothing but the cross… sufficient for salvation. He did not teach them to read the OT in Hebrew. He did not teach them the rich 'mystery hidden from the beginning'.

Before John was dead, the church was already not allowing him to visit them. And thereafter the priesthood manipulated people using fear; even keeping the scriptures from the common people.

You trust whom you will. But if you want to have a conversation…. prove there is hell in the OT, prove there is hell from the Hebrew.

I am willing to learn. I use 'It appears' in intellectual humility as a confession that I don't know everything. It happens to be something I have been studying for a while… I am not done with my studies. Present your best evidence from the scriptures please.

Meanwhile you will start prepping for the great festival of "Cattle eating the grass" and you have no clue what that is…

Baby Jesus was put in the manger with the grass to fulfill the prophetic riddle. Cattle = 'sheep' . It was a SYMBOL at the start of his life of his sheep eating his body. The same teaching with the bread at the end of his life.

Many of the Greeks, with their Greek mythology, think that they eat the literal body of Christ, yet they have the same symbol with the manger scene and never mention eating his body there. They love cartoon Christianity.

The first century hermeneutic revealing the sensus plenior makes the symbols clear as symbols, permitting a proper understanding, and setting you free from the Nicolaitans (conquerers of the laity), setting you free from fear.

As churches fall… because they must… many will be tempted to throw the baby out with the bathwater. If your only ability is to parrot what you have heard, and call people names with whom you don't agree, you are no better than the MSM leftists.

Mock those who dig…

The gospel of Thomas is a collection of riddles which teach how to read the riddle of the OT.

It uses the same hermeneutic as sensus plenior to reveal the mystery hidden from the beginning.

It locks in riddle-to-riddle like a crossword puzzle so there is no guessing or trusting some other man for what it says.

When you can solve the riddle of Jeremiah, where every man is seen pregnant, you are starting to solve the mystery.

GOT is in complete agreement with the OT and NT when it is read in the proper genre as prophetic riddle.

Eating is a metaphor for learning. The prophets ate the scrolls…they learned.

The mystery was hidden until the cross. The symbol of eating his body means that we learn the new teaching of peace from the cross.

Yes. The Greek church was comp'd

The original sin is choosing good and evil for yourself and usurping God's position.. Seeking within yourself is Gnostic tripe invented by people who read the Thomas riddles literally, and it encourages that same sin.

The invisible God wishes to be known. He has made himself known through the word, works, life, death, resurrection and indwelling Spirit of the Son.

His word is made sure.. his mystery revealed, through the cross.

This 'looking inside yourself' is exactly that kind of throwing the baby out with the bath water that allows evil to win.. The carnal mind is enmity with God. Your own thoughts and works are as filthy rags.

God said we were chosen so that we would 'know, believe and understand. .. Knowledge comes first.. not-esoteric mystic, unverifiable feeling generated by looking into yourself.

IMHO ;)
