Thanks anon. I was going from long-term memory. What I remember the most was the text depicted that Saturnalia worshippers were hedonistic and their "x-mas" celebration was filled with orgies and … well, crap. And the theory was the original colonists were trying to escape it to worship what they believed as true? Later, someone wanted to bring in X-mas and there was civil war over the ability to celebrate x-mas. Not sure how it became connected to Christ.
