Seoul (AFP) – A South Korean cult leader was convicted Thursday of the multiple rape of eight female followers — some of whom believed he was God — and jailed for 15 years.
Pastor Lee Jaerock’s victims were “unable to resist as they were subject to the accused’s absolute religious authority”, judge Chung Moon-sung told the Seoul Central District Court.

Iran Reportedly Seizes Saudi Fishing Boat, Arrests Crew
The Saudi and Iranian authorities have yet to comment on the media reports.
According to the Mizan news agency, Iran has seized a Saudi Arabian fishing boat and arrested its crew.
It hasn't been immediately clear, where the reported incident took place, while both the Saudi and Iranian officials haven't yet confimed the media reports.

Russia ready to mediate between Palestinians and Israel: Lavrov
ROME (Reuters) - Russia would be ready to host a meeting between Palestinians and Israel and to act as a mediator, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday.
Lavrov was speaking to reporters during a two-day trip to Rome.
