Pakistan - Terrorist Shock Attack On Chinese Consulate Leaves 6 Dead

An attack that could possible cause geopolitical tensions this morning left 6 dead after terrorists tried to storm the Chinese consulate in Karachi but were taken out by the Pakistani police forces.

Pakistani security forces, in the end, killed the three attackers who tried to storm the Chinese consulate in the South Pakistani port city of Karachi. The major operations are now over, according to the police. Two Pakistani police officers and a private security guard were also killed in the attack.

"The situation is now under control. All attackers are dead, "said Ameer Sheikh, head of the police in Karachi.

"We are now carrying out a clean-up operation," according to the police chief who stressed that none of the Chinese consulate personnel was injured.

On Friday morning at 9.30 am local time, the neighborhood, known as Clifton, an exclusive residential area in Karachi, was at first brutally woken up by a loud explosion which was followed by heavy gunfire.

Three attackers then tried to storm the Chinese consulate.

"One of them was still killed outside the consulate, the two others got into the consulate's visa department and were killed there," Police chief Ameer Sheikh declared.

Video from Pakistani channel Geo TV show thick black smoke in the area, apparently from the first explosion. Around the consulate are also other Asian embassies like the one of Russia and India.

Police cordoned off the area soon after the first gunshots could be heard.

Pakistani PM claims Jesus ‘had no mention in history’, Twitterati don’t turn the other cheek

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to share an unexpected historical insight: Jesus Christ apparently never existed. Predictably, this landed him in hot water.

To make matters worse, Khan made the remarks at a conference celebrating the birthday of none other than the Prophet Mohammed. Praising the greatness of the Muslim prophet, the politician suddenly delved deeper into religious history than anyone was expecting.

“Moses does find some mention but we don’t find mention of Hasrat Isa [Jesus Christ] in human history,” Khan said.

The video of the speech went viral, with many observers left baffled by Khan’s sudden authority on Bible matters. Some mocked him, accusing him of ignorance.

Commenters rushed to remind the PM that Jesus is even mentioned multiple times in the Quran.

Rampant US police violence prompts nationwide FBI inquiry

Police brutality across the US is now bad enough that the federal government is finally willing to look at the statistics – if the cops don’t mind. The FBI is starting a data collection effort, based on voluntary self-reports.

Federal investigators will soon begin actively tracking police use-of-force incidents on a national level, the FBI announced in a press release Tuesday. Following 2017’s pilot version of the program, the agency now says it will begin taking reports from forces on the Local, State, tribal and federal level starting January of next year.

The data collected will be made publicly available twice a year, granting the public aggregate statistics on police violence from a national perspective for the first time. At present, American police departments are left to sort out their own use of force, and the government has little idea of the scale of the problem.

The inquiry will track numerous details regarding incidents where police kill, injure or fire at a suspect, including the race, gender and age of all involved. The data, however, is not intended to prove whether a specific officer’s actions were or were not legal, but rather focus on creating a generalized picture.

It will be curated by a newly established task force who say they hope to improve the tense relationship between communities and police, and highlight common trends among incidents that resulted in violence.

The FBI says that the initiative was launched in light of “a number of high-profile cases involving law enforcement use of force” over the past few years which have made the issue a matter of national concern, – which is to put it lightly.

Over 1,000 people are killed every year by police in America according to data compiled by the Guardian, making American law enforcement the most lethal in the world with no serious competitors. Instances of non-lethal force, while more difficult to track, are also at critical levels, and things don’t seem to be getting any better despite growing public awareness.

While communities fear that the effort is too little too late, police are worried they might be forced to take more responsibility for their behavior. In a video posted on the FBI’s website, police chief Gina Hawkins discusses how the initiative could end up being a bit uncomfortable for police departments and ‘leave them vulnerable’:

However, how much the police forces own up to is left up to them, considering that filing reports is completely voluntary. The FBI says that they ‘have no legal authority to mandate reporting’, essentially meaning that departments that do have something to hide will be expected to inform on themselves. The initiative can essentially be seen as an extension of the pitiful police oversight practices which already exist on local levels, where potentially criminal acts by police are self-investigated.

Anonymous blows lid off huge psyop in Europe and it's funded by UK & US

Anonymous has published documents which it claims have unearthed a massive UK-led psyop to create a "large-scale information secret service" in Europe – all under the guise of countering "Russian propaganda."

In a document dump on November 5, the group exposed the UK-based 'Integrity Initiative', said to have been established by the ominously titled Institute for Statecraft in 2015.

The main objective is "to provide a coordinated Western response to Russian disinformation and other elements of hybrid warfare." The Institute for Statecraft is affiliated with the NATO HQ Public Diplomacy Division and the Home Office-funded 'Prevent' program, so objectivity is, of course, at the forefront of their work.

Operating on a budget of £1.9 million (US$2.4 million), the secretive Integrity Initiative consists of "clusters" of local politicians, journalists, military personnel, scientists and academics. The team is dedicated to searching for and publishing "evidence" of Russian interference in European affairs, while themselves influencing leadership behind the scenes, the documents claim.

The UK establishment appears to be conducting the very activities of which it and its allies have long-accused the Kremlin, with little or no corroborating evidence. The program also aims to "change attitudes in Russia itself" as well as influencing Russian speakers in the EU and North America, one of the leaked documents states.

At present, the vast network allegedly has clusters for Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Serbia, and Montenegro… but there's more!

According to the Anonymous leak, major plans to expand the sphere of influence throughout eastern Europe, the US, and Canada, as well as the MENA region, are allegedly underway.

EU bows to Italy? “Our goal is not to sanction the Italian authorities,” Commissioner says

On Friday Pierre Moscovici, European Economic Affairs Commissioner, said that a deal could be found on the Italian budget rejected by the European Commission as “the door is always open”.

The Commissioner stated: “Our door remains open and I am convinced that we will be able to find an accord on shared solutions in the interest of the Italians and the eurozone”.

“It is a challenging but practicable course and I want to believe in it.

“Our goal is not to sanction the Italian authorities, nor to interfere in the internal affairs of the country.

“It is in the interest of all to continue to dialogue and go forward in the search for common solutions”.

Moody’s Investors Services said on Friday that a budget clash with the European Commission will keep the Italian-German bond spread high. Kathrin Muehlbronner, Senior Vice President of the US ratings agency said:

”The growing tensions with the European Union will keep the costs of financing (the public debt) high” and “will increase the risks for the economy”.

Meanwhile, investor confidence in Italy servicing its debt has risen above 300 points since the EC rejected the 2019 Italian budget.

Security Organisation Releases Report Slamming Swedish Electoral System

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has criticised Sweden’s electoral system noting voter privacy concerns, missing ballots, and the way in which unions fund the Social Democrats.

The report, released on Wednesday, examines concerns raised following the Swedish national election in September by OSCE elections observers who raised concerns over “undemocratic” aspects of the Swedish electoral system.

Danish delegate Michael Aastrup Jensen, who had previously monitored elections in Eastern Europe, went as far as commenting, “In all the many election observations I’ve been on, I have not seen anything that comes close to how undemocratic the Swedish voting system is.”

The OSCE report said, “In practice, ballots are placed on a table or a stand, often in plain view of voters and staff present in the polling station, which at times might diminish the secrecy of the vote.”

The organisation recommended that “consideration should be given to further measures to ensure the secrecy of the vote,” and also noted that in some areas ballots had been reported missing in polling stations, including ones belonging to the populist Sweden Democrats.”

The connection between the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) and the Social Democrats was also scrutinised with the OSCE report authors noting criticism of “the close link between the Social Democratic Party and the LO, reasoning that LO members’ political affinities are very diverse and hence its financial support should be diversified.”

“Notwithstanding the historical linkages of the Social Democratic Party and the LO, unregulated participation of third parties in electoral campaigns can compromise political finance transparency,” they added.

A total of six recommendations were made in the report, including a call for explicit legislation to allow OSCE observers in Swedish elections.

Despite the election occurring over two months ago, Sweden is still without a government as no parties have managed to form a working majority coalition with the looming possibility of a new snap election on the horizon.

UKIP Divided as Farage Slams ‘Shameful’ Tommy Robinson Appointment, Calls for Batten to Be Ousted

“Nigel Farage is right”, a senior party source told Breitbart Friday after the former UKIP boss said he was “appalled” by the party’s current leader appointing activist Tommy Robinson as an adviser, calling for Gerard Batten to be ousted and for a renewed focus on Brexit.

Under Mr Farage’s leadership, UKIP went to lengths to exclude and ban all former members of the English Defence League (EDL), who were known for rowdy street protests, and the openly racist British National Party (BNP).

Mr Robinson, whilst now a campaigner against racism and extremism, was briefly a BNP member as a young man and is perhaps best known for having founded and led the EDL before leaving the organisation, finding that it had been infiltrated by extremists.

He has not been approved as a party member but will advise Mr Batten on street grooming rape gangs and prison reform in a private capacity, which Mr Batten pointed out Robinson has “personal experience of,” on BBC news Friday.

Mr Batten came out fighting Friday, writing on social media: “Nigel Farage has reportedly said on the radio this morning that the NEC should hold a vote of no confidence in me.

“This is the same NEC Nigel described as ‘low grade people’ and a ‘swamp that needed to be drained’. I will be in the media today commenting.”

Batten was appointed as UKIP leader after former leader Henry Bolton was pushed out in February following a scandal involving his personal life.

Many in the party expected a leadership contest after the official Brexit day in March, with some senior members already considering bids, Breitbart London understands. Tommy Robinson’s membership is likely to be a proxy issue in that contest.

Documents Confirm: UK Is Engaged In Large-Scale Secret Propaganda War Against Russia

On November 5th, the Anonymous released a number of documents which they claimed relate to the British “Integrity Initiative” propaganda project launched in the fall of 2015 and launched by the UK government.

The documents were posted on the Cyber Guerrilla hacking group website.

The Handbook of the initiative begins in the following way:

“The Integrity Initiative was set up in autumn 2015 by The Institute for Statecraft in cooperation with the Free University of Brussels (VUB) to bring to the attention of politicians, policy-makers, opinion leaders and other interested parties the threat posed by Russia to democratic institutions in the United Kingdom, across Europe and North America.”

The handbook also claims that the project aimed to unite people who understand “the threat,” in order to provide a coordinated Western response to Russian disinformation and other elements of hybrid warfare.

“The nature of this response needs to render counterproductive the Russian tactic of dividing countries internally and from one another.”

It would require a cluster of “well-informed people from the political, military, academic, journalistic and think-tank spheres,” who are to track alleged disinformation and also inform decision-makers and other interested parties about the on-goings.

The expected programme results are three:

Creating / Improving structural mechanisms, tracking, analysing, responding to Russian malign influence and disinformation;

Commissioning in depth research and conducting analyses of significant events;

Dissemination of knowledge.

The British team members, their respective expertise and the languages they speak are also listed in the Handbook. They have their initials included, so in future communication it would be easier to name them.

Some of the individuals’ expertise appear to be redacted.
