A permanent injunction (ie. gag order), type of declaration was imposed and she holds by far the record for the most severe restrictions in her abillity to speak about what she overheard…and believed was against the security of the State. What happened to her stands alone in jurisprudence, by far, and is in effect to this day. She would immediately be imprisoned if she discusses what she overheard.
As to her politics, don't know where I stand. I do believe she was/is acting in good faith…and that’s the type of civil servant a country should want. Any whistleblower acting in good faith, and in an effort to safeguard the country, deserves fair treatment and recompense for any retaliatory actions, and she has had some (I think Rumsfeld comes to mind too). Politics aside, I stand in solidarity with her for her bravery and patriotism.
