<Batshit crazy coming up:
Satanic inversion? How deep does it go?
I'm a programmer and computer artist. Working in the games industry.
I recently realized that almost anything in computing is inverse of natural laws.
Take lighting calculations for example. In the real world light travels from a source, hitting objects along the way, scattering and then some of i hits our retinas to produce an image.
In the computer world this happens completely in reverse.
The computer draws rays from the cameras viewpoints to decide which rays hits a light source.
Mathematically it makes sense to safe computational power.
But almost everything in computers is built up like this.
As an insider artist i can also say that we are often commanded by shareholders or the designer, to include obscure symbols in our textures with no explanation.
It is up to us how we include them but they have to be there.
Most don't ask questions about it. But since i found this place I've found my job very hard…
Not saying there is anything to this, just something to ponder.
