What? How did they know that. Were doves descending or flames of fire present? No, no mention of that here. How'd they know they had received holy spirit?

Word of Prophecy

Word of Wisdom

Word of Knowledge

Discerning of spirits

Believing

Gifts of Healings

Working of miracles

Manifestation of holy spirit .

Died with the Apostles? Don't think so. "God is no respecter of persons", born-again one.

How is it that you know that you are born again? God made it available to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that one has received eternal life. That one is truly a son of God. God's "cult".

"If we receive the witness of men, the witness if God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son".

The witness of or from God is the manifestation of speaking in tongues. This is far greater than the witness of men or self. It is irrefutable.

"He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself…."

That is, speaking in tongues and the energizing of holy spirit in it's manifestation.

"…he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son."

"And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life… "
