OG version

> And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Proposed version

> do not let us fall into temptation

This changes the entire understanding of the verse.

> do not lead us into temptation implies that temptation is present and that the lord is not at fault shall we decide to fall because we trust he would not lead us astray.

> do not let us fall into temptation implies that any transgressions are ultimately Gods responsibility. It could then be argued that God allowed your sin and thus encourages them.

< replacing God with satan.
