"Sion" is an alternate spelling of Zion. Mount Zion is just outside the gates if the Old city of Jerusalem. Their efforts to "restore the bloodline" are an effort to place the Capstone(think triangle), think "the stone that was rejected by the builders", at the top of the figurative pyramid.
