This story is getting me so excited. I dunno what happens if Brennan gets to release whatever bullshit he's cooked up. But it seems like the trend has been to let them lie and use the truth as leverage.

I don't particularly believe this story, but it's a big deal. I don't remember all the details about that time already, but it was Guccifer 2s stuff that was shady and probably some kind of op to get out in front of WL with fake Russian fingerprints. DCleaks was some odd thing where he released It just before Assange did so we all just read Assanges files and forgot about it.
It seems really convenient that just as the Assange drama is coming up again, this guy shows up and tells us what we already kind of knew. And he's just an American whistleblower and victim of corruption. And he fled to Russia and disseminated files from there.
My paranoid gut thinks it's a story that lets the corrupt say "See that's why we accidentally thought it was muh Russia and did all these years of awful shit. Sorry." But it might be true. And it might be a piece of exonerating Assange.
Not really sure why it's not even a 2 day story.
