Medical myth busted: Cancer is primarily a metabolic disorder, NOT a genetic disease

Many of us are under the mistaken impression that getting cancer is very much a case of bad luck, that there is very little we can do to prevent this deadly disease. The truth is, however, that the vast majority of cancers can be avoided through simple lifestyle changes like maintaining a healthy weight, not smoking, drinking alcohol in moderation, exercising regularly and eating an organic, nutrient-dense diet.

But, what about genetic cancers? Isn’t it true that there are some cancers which are caused by specific gene mutations, making certain families more susceptible to disease and almost inevitably causing cancer?

While it is true that scientists have identified mutations of certain genes like the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes which seem to predispose certain women to breast, ovarian and other cancers, a groundbreaking new study published in the journal Oncotarget recently found that breast cancer is primarily a metabolic disorder, not a genetic disease. Nutrient deprivation of cells key to the development of cancer

The study was conducted by an international team of 35 researchers from 17 research facilities located in Europe, Brazil and the United States, and included over 1,200 participants.

For several decades, scientists have been convinced that cancer cells are metabolically different to other cells, but before the advent of mass spectrometry testing – which allows researchers to precisely analyze, measure and quantify substances found in blood chemistry – it was impossible for them to prove their theory.

The team used mass spectrometry to measure incredibly small amounts of amino acids, sugars and lipids in the blood of cancer patients and control subjects. They were able with 95 percent accuracy to identify a specific metabolic signature in the cancer patients. This indicates that breast cancer patients experience metabolic changes which “predispose” them to developing the disease.

The Ministry concluded its letters by saying “The Syrian Arab Republic’s Government demands the Security Council to immediately and strongly condemn these terrorist crimes and to shoulder its responsibilities in preserving the international peace and security through taking deterrent, immediate and punitive measures against the states and regimes which support and fund terrorism and to prevent them from going far in supporting terrorism and tampering with the international peace and security and to force them to fully implement the provisions of the Security Council’s relevant resolutions No.2170/2014/2178/2014/2199/2015/2253/2015.

107 civilians suffer asphyxiation due to terrorist attack with toxic gases on Aleppo residential neighborhoods

For his part, Director of Aleppo Health Directorate Ziad Haj Taha said that 50 civilians including children and women suffered from asphyxiation due to the terrorist attack with shells that contain toxic gases on residential neighborhoods in Aleppo City.

He indicated that the number of civilian casualties in the attack is not final and it is expected to rise, adding that the gas used by terrorists is more likely to be the chlorine gas due to the symptoms shown by the hospitalized civilians.

Later, medical sources at al-Razi Hospital and the University Hospital said that 107 civilians were admitted to them as they were suffering from asphyxiation cases of various degrees ranging from light to medium and some of them were admitted to the intensive care units.

This attack on residential neighborhoods with shells containing toxic gases comes few days after local sources revealed that French terrorists arrived in Idleb through the borders with Turkey to supply missiles with toxic gases with the aim of using them inside the Syrian territories.

Syrian Army’s Military Operation Is Looming In Idlib Following Chemical Attack On Aleppo City

Following this development, reports started appearing that the Syrian Army and its allies are redeploying its troops closer to a frontline in western Aleppo. Governemnt troops have also deplyoed several additional artillery pieces and pieces of military equipment there. First signs of this campaign can already be observed in some MSM reports. For example, in its report on the chemical attack Reuters quoted “Abdel-Salam Abdel-Razak, an official from the Nour el-Din al-Zinki insurgent faction” [this group became widely known when its members filmed how they were beheading a boy during the battle of Aleppo], who claimed that “rebels” do not “own chemical weapons or have the capacity to produce them”.

Retuters also quoted Abu Omar, a spokesman of another militant group – Failaq al-Sham, who openly accused Damascus of trying to create “a malicious charade” as a pretext to attack militants.

The mainstream outlet concluded its report by claiming that “no rebel group has been confirmed to have used chemical weapons in the war by the by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)”.

15-Year-Old Girl Sexually Abused in Migrant Caravan Shelter: Police

A minor migrant was reportedly sexually abused by a Honduran man during her stay at a shelter located at Benito Juarez Sports Complex in Tijuana, Mexico.

The 15-year-old girl went to the bathroom and was followed by an individual, of Honduran origin, intent on sexually assaulting her, El Imparcial reported.

The head of the Tijuana City Police, Mario Martinez, confirmed that the Secretariat of Public Security of the City had received the report of an attempted rape at 6:00 p.m. in the shelter.

“An unpleasant situation reported in the morning by the mother of a child, where she mentions that her daughter went to the bathroom and was followed by a person, apparently Honduran. He touched her parts and sexually abused her,” Martinez told El Imparcial.

When the agents arrived, the alleged perpetrator had already fled the place and an operation was set up to locate him, adn40 reported.

The whereabouts of the suspect were still unknown on Nov. 23.

“With the information we have, we are following up on him. I understand that he left the shelter at 6:00 a.m. in the morning,” Martinez explained.

No one has been arrested for the alleged assault for the time being.

The girl was transferred to the City Victim Care Unit, where she was assisted by medical and psychological staff.

In recent days, approximately 5,000 Central American migrants arrived in Tijuana, just south of California, after making their way through Mexico via caravan.

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum declared a humanitarian crisis on Nov. 23 in his border city, which is struggling to accommodate the influx. Most of the migrants are camped inside a sports complex, where they face long wait times for food and bathrooms.

On Nov. 24, President Trump reaffirmed that all migrants in the caravan will “stay in Mexico.”

TREY GOWDY: Videotape Comey Deposition For Public to See

On Sunday, outgoing Chairman of House Oversight Committee Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that James Comey’s deposition should be videotaped to remedy leaks.

Gowdy said public Congressional hearings have become ‘a wrestling type carnival atmosphere’ so Comey should be interviewed in a closed-door, taped deposition.

“Leaks are counterproductive whether Comey is doing it, whether the FBI is doing it, or whether Congress is doing it,” Gowdy said on Sunday, adding, “The remedy for leaks is not to have a public hearing where you are supposed to ask about 17 months worth of work in five minutes.”

I think the remedy is to videotape the deposition–videotape the transcribed interview. That way the public can see whether the question was fair, they can judge the entirety of the answer,” the South Carolina lawmaker said.

House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) subpoenaed former FBI Director James Comey and Obama’s corrupt Attorney General Loretta Lynch last week.

On Thanksgiving Comey tweeted, “Happy Thanksgiving. Got a subpoena from House Republicans. I’m still happy to sit in the light and answer all questions. But I will resist a “closed door” thing because I’ve seen enough of their selective leaking and distortion. Let’s have a hearing and invite everyone to see.”

Comey wants to have a public hearing in order to avoid answering tough questions.

Gowdy is correct to call for a private deposition to be videotaped then released to the public after classified information is scrubbed.
