As soon as the prosecutors working behind the scenes with Huber et al. are ready, the declas will be released IMO. They cannot release info prematurely that would prejudice grand juries or give defendants a ready defense that their client was prejudiced by the release of information publicly. But I think it will be breddy soon…

No no. The ADSB transponder replies with digital data when pinged by radar. The digital data is what gets mapped. The transponder can fuzz the data or reply with nothing or change its reported position. Do you imagine AF1 does not have that capability? Do you imagine that all military planes lack that capability?

 

The radar trace is not from a terrestrial-based radar beam bouncing off the plane…it's a digital response by the plane. If it shows a zig-zag course that's impossible to fly, you can be positive it's deliberate. The plane may actually not be anywhere near its reported position…who knows?
