I'm noticing reports from those uploading to YT that the uploads are going very fast. example : a seven minute video used to take around an hour to upload, now only takes a minute.

I'm not much in the way of technofagottry, but this would say to me that a 5g or other high-speed implementation has been made. Without fanfare, and without disclosure. Spoopily spoopified, indeed.
