Hey plane fag, I live in Northwest Arkansas and last night I went outside to let my dog in and caught a near collision with the ground from what appeared to be a delta flight around 11:00 pm cst. It came out of the clouds at an extreme angle and was throwing it's thrust into extreme high gear while banking. It was soo loud that everyone in the house could here it and I was certain it was going to crash into the ground. Appeared to be a MD-88 attempting a low visibility landing @ either Drake Field or was banking to recover altitude in taxi for XNA. Regardless I see planes fly over all day as I'm right next to the Air Nation Guard and see their flight exercises with both heli's and winged craft, and I have never seen anything this close. Honestly I just stood there expecting to see a fireball or hear a loud explosion but I lost visibility through low clouds and the sound kept getting further and further away.
I used siri to see what flights were overhead directly after and the closest flight was an MD-88 delta flight, and when I made out the plane visually it appeared to be the same long narrow craft.
