It is absolutely crazy to me to see an "alert network" built on a principle I proposed back when I was in highschool.
Granted, the problem with it is that there is exceptionally limited data to work with in terms of what could be going on. There are alternative explanations, too. If the minds of many can affect the should-be-random phenomena of quantum states - then perhaps it is not impending events which are causing this, but the will of many (or even one - a "god" of lesser status than cosmic consequence, but of higher orders than what we currently understand) imposing order upon the chaos.
