Sessions recused himself. It was likely to be a sticky mess to get him un-recused. Resignations and removals put Whitaker in place to take over as head of DOJ.

Legal minds say the special counsel report now goes to Whitaker, who can accept it, not release it, and not act on it. What purpose do the POTUS tweets serve now that RR is out of the loop? Is it pressure to get Mueller to finish up sooner rather than later? Or, is it a misdirection to focus the opposition's attention on Mueller while other parts of the plan are put in motion?

I figure POTUS will have Whitaker release the SC report - just for transparency if nothing else - reports say his lawyers have been working on a response to what they think will be in the final report.

If Whitaker sits on the report and does not release it, a "version" will most likely leak that will result in calls for POTUS impeachment.

Still begs the question, why all the attention to this in POTUS tweets?
