I was half-assed listening to a YT, while working. Dude was talking about orphan trains. Dug a little and found it interesting.
Before this, he talked of older Europe. Some countries (England/France mentioned) had laws that an unmarried woman who has a child MUST give said child to a foundling home (orphanage).
