Last night I was listening to Geraldo Rivera on "The Five" on Foxnews. He was opining about the illegal aliens plight and how he remembered when he was in college in Arizona how migrant workers would come over for work for a few months and then go back……i.e. how mean we are now.

I started shouting at my TV "that's because we didn't offer any benefits then!!!" People actually did come over to work. Did he completely forget about the crisis of the nineties with anchor babies. Women coming to give birth in U.S. hospitals which WE paid for. Only an idiot wouldn't come. Let's see the comparison:

U.S. - housing, education, utilities, food, healthcare all free

vs.

Other country - eke out a living(probably hard labor) and live in poverty

If you want to stop the caravans, shut down the gravy train. No more benefits - sink or swim(like all immigrants before that built this country).

That's how POTUS will get good hard working immigrants.

Perfect analogy! Looking back the Dems put out bait and most Americans were busy working and not paying attention or didn't realize what benefits these people were getting and what we were paying for. Mind you this was all occurring while we Americans were being told the Social Security system was running out of money. Now we accept elderly from other countries who have never worked here and they get SSI. WTF!
