Sorry to sound like a closed minded monk from the middle ages, but I am surprised none of the Christians here have spoken up against
<this concept of "remote viewing"
which apparently many here believe in and welcome as a valid research method.
How is it possible for Bible believers to consider this a useful and safe tool for the good guys? Remote viewing, astral projection, and such - it seems like dark spiritual stuff to me. Am I missing something? How is this not just the most recent name for the concept of 'psychic powers' that have been pushed in popular media for decades?
I've heard that the US military is also using remote viewing as a method for their purposes, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing.
And just because someone can predict events, or know something they naturally could not, doesn't mean they are blessed or on the side of good.
>One day…we met a demon-possessed slave girl who was a fortune-teller and earned much money for her masters. She followed along behind us shouting [about what we were going to do]…
>This went on day after day until Paul, in great distress, turned and spoke to the demon within her. “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her,” he said. And instantly it left her. Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered.
