With no (large) images, a stable & reliable connection (upload & download) it is not too hard to test delay times during posting, and get some statistics/experience in hitting specific timestamps.

If anyone wants to go through the trouble – it is possible, esp. in times with low traffic on /qr/.

If you have a known and fixed upload rate, you can even time/compute delay when posting images, depending oon filesize.

All breaks down of course if 8chan is crowded (i.e. when Q posts, during attacks or things like Q & A's etc) – or if you do not have a stable & reliable connection (with no major outages at cloudflare or the web in general).

Yes, there is a "seasoned clockfag" as he calls himself, who went through the trouble.

Why should I? Esp. if I don't have the necessary reliability in connectivity? It's Q's timestamps that matter, not mine (or anyone else's for that matter).

Experiment goes as follows:

You make a post, and (for example) hit the postButton exactly at the 00 seconds mark on the clock on your machine.

You note the time when you hit the button on your machine, and you check the time that shows up in your post here on the board.

You compute the time difference.

Repeating the experiment and accounting for the time-difference you've observed, you will get closer to your desired timestamps after some time (and if other conditions are stable). It's really not so hard.

That might be – I really never tried it, as I find it irrelevant for anons.

Observation has shown that Q team can not only hit timestamps, but seems to have a good control of postnumbers as well (maybe even posterIDs) … not only for their own posts but also for new breads and some special postNumbers (e.g. 4,000,000 etc). So at least my assumption is, they have much directer access to/control of the servers than any one of us.
