I Prefer President Washington’s Flag Over A Revenue Flag

I saw so called anons have been posting on sites that we are flying the wrong flag. Old Glory has been referred to as the “military flag” of the United States but we should be flying the “civil flag.” Too bad the so-called anons are unable to perform the most basic of research.

We fly Old Glory proudly because it is the official flag of the United States of America. The civil flag with vertical stripes is based on the flag flown by customs and revenue houses of the US government.

I will trust President George Washington over anonymous myths off the internet. The official flag of the United States was designated under Statute 1 page 341 of the Flags Act of 1794. It modified the official 1777 flag of the Continental Congress to include 15 stripes for the newly admitted states. The flag reverted back to the original 13 stripes with a star added for each new state in 1818 by the 15th Congress Statutes page 415.

I prefer the flag of President Washington over the flag of a revenue (tax) house.
