Trump Pushes for Only One Fifth of Border Wall Funding

President Trump is pushing the Republican-controlled Congress to approve only a fifth of the money needed to build his $25 billion border wall, all of which is currently tied to a slew of open borders provisions.

In an interview with Politico, Trump said he would be “willing” to shut down the federal government if a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill does not include a measly $5 billion for his proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“I am firm,” Trump said when asked if he would budge on the $5 billion in border wall funding.

In March, Trump said he would never sign another spending bill that did not include a single provision from his 70-point list of pro-American immigration reforms — where a border wall is only the beginning.

Over the course of the Politico interview, Trump does not make clear whether or not he would be willing to sign off on a number of open borders provisions in order to secure the $5 billion in border wall funding.

As Breitbart News has chronicled, the current DHS spending package ties $5 billion in border wall funds to a variety of cheap-labor giveaways to the big business lobby, the outsourcing industry, and the open borders lobby, including:

A quasi-amnesty for DACA illegal aliens

A revival of Obama’s catch and release policy

A right to migrate for all foreign nationals claiming to flee gang violence or domestic abuse

A green card giveaway for at least 200,000 Indian nationals

A tripling of the H-2B visa program to further outsource American jobs

An expansion of the H-2A visa program to allow farmers to import more foreign workers

The DHS spending bill does not include any additional funding for the Border Patrol to effectively detain illegal aliens without releasing them into the American general public.

The bill also does not provide Trump with the funding for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to hire an additional 1,000 ICE agents. Trump has said for more than a year that he wants to increase the number of ICE agents, but the GOP Congress has failed to provide the funding.

Clinton: Trump is ‘part of the cover-up’ in Khashoggi killing

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday suggested that President Trump is “part of the cover-up as to what happened” in the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

Clinton, Trump’s Democratic rival in the 2016 presidential campaign, kicked off a paid speaking tour in Toronto by hitting the president over his response to the killing of Khashoggi in a Saudi Arabian consulate last month, saying that Trump and “those closest to him” have their “own personal” interests.

“We have a president who is part of the cover-up as to what happened in that consulate or embassy when Mr. Khashoggi was murdered,” Clinton said.

“And we have a president and those closest to him who have their own personal commercial interests,” she added.

Trump and his administration have come under heavy criticism over the White House response to Khashoggi’s death inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Trump has indicated that the U.S. government will remain allies with Saudi Arabia, saying sanctions or punishment taken against the kingdom over Khashoggi could cause oil prices to spike.

“If you want to see oil prices go to $150 a barrel … all you have to do is break up our relationship with Saudi Arabia,” he said last week.

The president has also refused to blame Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the killing, even as reports emerged that the CIA has concluded that the crown prince likely ordered the assassination.

"I hate the crime and I hate what is done and I hate the cover-up," Trump said last Tuesday. "And I will tell you this, the crown prince hates it more than I do."

Clinton was in Toronto with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to start a 13-date speaking tour.

Chemotherapy revealed as toxic poison for every living cell in the human body: Mitochondrial dysfunction warning from researchers

Chemotherapy is not medicine; it is not a therapy at all. A new study published in the American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology lambastes chemotherapy for causing mitochondrial dysfunction in patients’ muscles. This is not some simple side effect. This is a direct debilitating effect inflicted on patients, a condition that causes fatigue, weakness, oxidative stress, and muscle wasting in patients. The research, conducted at the University of Vermont, finds that breast cancer patients are harmed by the chemotherapy drugs doxorubicin and paclitaxel. These are the so-called medications that are commonly used post-surgery in breast cancer patients.

The mitochondria are the energy center of the cells. Cancer treatment should maximize the energy production of cells, not restrict it. Maximizing mitochondrial energy production is one of the keys for a healthy cancer recovery. Breast cancer drugs are literally creating the conditions for future cancers to develop and take hold. To get a better understanding, the University of Vermont research team compared muscle fibers from women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer post tumor removal. Compared to a healthy control group, these women experienced pronounced muscle loss, indicated by a lower cross sectional area of muscle fibers. Next, the researchers applied chemotherapy drugs to mouse muscle cells and studied their mitochondria. The mitochondria were significantly reduced in number and oxidative stress was discovered along with atrophy. The researchers found that doxorubicin and paclitaxel inflict severe oxidative stress which damages cells, restricts mitochondrial energy production, speeds up cell death, and initiates the conditions for chronic diseases.

Something bizarre happened after the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the White House

President Donald Trump abandoned his protective press pool after the Christmas lighting ceremony at the White House and sped away in his motorcade, according to social media reports.

Anita Kumar, the White House correspondent for McClatchy, tweeted about being left behind in the protective pool and how unprecedented and bizarre it is.

“I am the White House print pooler tonight. That means I am supposed to be with [President Donald Trump],” she tweeted. “Instead, I and the rest of the pool, were left at an event while POTUS returned to the White House.”

“We have been told POTUS is back at the White House but technically we don’t know that because we were not with him and did not seem him,” she added.

“I have been a print pooler for six years during the Obama and Trump administrations,” she explained. “I have never been part of a protective pool that was left behind until today.”

The 96th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony apparently went off without a hitch, but the president’s motorcade left hastily afterward. The White House provided no details as to why the president was whisked away to the White House.

Trump led the audience assembled in a countdown until first lady Melania Trump flipped the switch to turn on the lights on the Christmas tree.

Steve Herman, the White House bureau chief for The Voice of America, explained that the White House works with the Secret Service in order to provide the protective pool an opportunity to cover the president from the motorcade.

“Poolers serve as the eyes and ears for the rest of the media,” Herman explained. “Usually it goes without a hitch, but something went amiss this evening and we’ve had no explanation.”

‘Your land, your future’! Germany offers migrants cash to go home in controversial ad campaign

As Germany still struggles to balance its migration policy, the Interior Ministry has apparently decided to take one of the issues into its own hands and, through an ad campaign, boost the numbers of voluntary repatriations.

The ministry, led by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Bavarian ally Horst Seehofer, decided to lure potential repatriates with a supposedly bright future awaiting them in their countries of origin – as well as a sort of a complimentary gift should they agree to go home voluntarily.

The ads, which were placed on the billboards in major German cities in mid-November, featured a cheerful slogan that read: “Your country! Your future! Now!”

The ads also offered those who grab the unique opportunity before the end of 2018 a bonus in the form of the German government paying their rental costs in their countries of origin for the next year. In return, the refugees have to take back their asylum applications and renounce further legal proceedings to remain in Germany.

The unusual move was apparently prompted by a rapid decline this year in voluntary returns among migrants and asylum seekers. In 2017, 29,000 people joined the voluntary return programs, but this year the figure drastically fell to just 14,000 by the end of October.

It remains to be seen whether the ministry struck a chord with the people it sought to reach out to, but it has already clearly sparked a backlash.

“The latest campaign of the interior ministry looks like a sort of a winter sales and that is cynical,” Konstantin von Notz, the deputy head of the Greens faction in the Bundestag, told Berliner Morgenpost daily. “It is apparently aimed at concealing [the ministry’s] own failures and improving the figures related to people, who voluntarily left the country, before the end of the year.”

Ordinary people seemingly did not appreciate the initiative either, with many interpreting the true message behind the slogan as: “Germany is not your land and your future is not here.” Others simply called the campaign “horrible” while slamming the very idea of such initiative as “inhumane.”
