well, to be fair, every part of the magnetron is a radiator. the only reason it looks like a point source is the design of the tap. but, you can just as easily put wave guides off of various parts of the internal structure and get non-point output.
it just depends on how you want to think about it.
things get more interesting and constructive if you really understand resonance and radio emissions through wire. i can't wait for declassification so i don't have to worry about being gagged for various inventions. nothing related to weapons - this stuff is far more useful when used constructively
