Well, I wouldn't presume to know what all they were working on. I will tell you this, if anyone had an inkling that something like this was going to happen there, they could literally put anything they wanted into that office, just like with Cohen, to plant something they wanted found. Make sense? It's just a theory, anyway.
At any rate, this happening makes it look like it's all "bad news" for POTUS, when we anons know that's not how this script goes.
