If the majority of Americans in Energy industry were annihilated and centralized energy usage was implemented, you'd explain depopulation events as environmental reprimand for non-violent, rational human activity. I believe this is the utility of Climate Change. An umbrella for collectivists and all non-Patriots to curate and direct industrial development by spewing catastrophic speculations that are accepted through peer pressure and shaming.
