It was a voice to text, the guy said who he was and that he was being held in a prison cell, but he didn't know where. Metadata had showed it was just a few miles from Diego Garcia.

If Anons want to read and understand a lot about the Hebrew people, and how the Jews got to where they are today, recommend you read The Source, by Michener. It's historical fiction, pretty long, and thoroughly researched like most of his books.
Hebrews were a 'stiff necked' people ever since God called them out of Egypt. But what stuck with me the most was the sheer hatred that Europe had for them during the Crusades and the middle ages. After all, Christendom was fervent and cruel in their enforcement of holiness, and blamed the Jews for killing Christ. By not allowing the Jews participate in most facets of the economy, they were more or less forced to become bankers because of the usury laws in effect at that time.
