I don't think you took my point. If a man's hopes for the future are based on, say, "Science" providing answers to all of life's problems, including death, then that man worships Science as his god,. and his god is Ba'al by another name. After all, Ba'al isn't a name either, and God is not a name, either. Ba'al is "Lord", and God is "Creator". I would be surprised if any honest chemist/biologist/etc. did not believe in some type of God, but then, even the devil believes in God, doesn't he.

CONFIRMED: CNN has cowardly and pitifully fired @marclamonthill for the crime of advocating equal political rights for Palestinians. I'm sure all of the people on the right who object when media outlets fire people for expressing controversial views will join me in defending him.

Mistake to underestimate him.

Mistake to tacitly support him prior to general.

Mistake to fall for the clown act.

Mistake to think it was her turn.

Mistake to think you could get rid of him.

Your life is full of mistakes, Maggie. Maybe it's time.

I think you missed it. The triangle is very stable with its bottom and both sides intact. Very stable. Like a rock.

Take away one of the sides, and you get the present structure that used to be very strong, stable, like a rock. But now it's not strong at all. The remaining side can be pushed down, and the bottom removed.

As it will be in the future.

You just have to take out the right side, first, to weaken the "Rock" into something you can vanish forever.

Kiplingโ€™s religious views were uncertain. His father, although a descendent of generations of Methodist Ministers, was a non-believer. The Archbishop of Canterbury, in a remarkable Address to the Kipling Society at Burwash Church in 2006, said that Kipling in any orthodox sense did not believe in Jesus. Perhaps Kiplingโ€™s views changed over the course of his life, but my feeling is that as a freemason he believed in a god but not necessarily the god of the Christian church. Masons believe in a supreme ruler of the universe but this may be a Christian or a Jewish or a Mohammedan god or other deitiy. My feeling is that Kipling was not a Christian and this is why he did not use the language of Christianity in his epitaphs. I think he was a deist believing in God, but not an agnostic or an atheist.

Fun fact: After conquering Israel completely, destroying Jerusalem and demolishing the temple, the Romans called the area "Palestine" to piss off the Jews. Why would this piss off the Jews?

Because "Palestine" is Roman for "Philistine".
