The fact that the President is calling Cohen a liar now simply means that Cohen is now a witness for Mueller alleging Trump lied. Clearly, Trump must have based his answer to the Mueller questions on what Cohen said to Congress in a written statement. Now the President knows Mueller trapped him in a “lie.” I’m certain that the President did not know that Cohen was about to reverse himself.
