Arrests, water cannon & a burning car: Yellow Vest protests spread to Brussels (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

France's ‘Yellow Vest’ protests have now made their way to Belgium, with demonstrators in Brussels calling on the prime minister to resign. Some threw rocks and firecrackers at officers, prompting them to deploy water cannons.

Crowds of people protesting fuel prices and living standards disrupted traffic and walked the streets for around three hours on Friday. A total of 60 people were arrested before any violence began, mostly for blocking roads or carrying large fireworks, Reuters cited police as saying.

Syrian air defense intercepts enemy missile over Damascus (video)

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 P.M.) – Last night, the Syrian military activated their air defenses across southwestern Syria after several enemy missiles swarmed the Damascus and Al-Quneitra provinces.

For over an hour, the Syrian military was fending off a number of missiles that targeted the small town of Al-Kisweh, which is known for its large number of arms storages near the capital city of Damascus.

According to the Syrian military, they were able to intercept all enemy missiles, adding that no missile managed to reach its intended target.

Former FBI Director Comey Fights Subpoena to Testify Before Congress

The House Judiciary Committee, alongside the House Oversight Committee had asked former FBI Director James Comey to voluntarily testify before the committees in September to discuss matters pertaining to an investigation into the Justice Department and FBI’s actions before the 2016 presidential election. This investigation also included the FBI’s probe into the mishandling of classified materials by Secretary Clinton on a private email server. Comey responded to this voluntary request in October by declining the invitation to testify before the committees
