The majority of rabbis place a higher level of importance on the Talmud than they do the Torah. I’m not suggesting the avg run of the mill jew believes this stuff but the leaders of the religion certainly do.
This might have something to do with why the jews have been expelled from hundreds of their host nations over the past handful of centuries.
