And I simply do not understand what all the fuss is about the cert. I saw it in an earlier bread. There were instructions to use a Tor browser, to go to a Gannett URL and to verifiy that the cert in use belongs to Gannett. That is how secure web browsing works. When you go to any https:// site on any browser you get a cert from the website and that cert is owned by the website. There is always some wat to inspect that cert and see who owns it.

This has nothing to do with Securedrop.

Sounds to me that clown shills during the night have taken advantage of the large number of people who do not understand how the technology of the web actually works.
