“Islam is not a religion of peace, dialogue is useless unless the Quran changes” – Catholic Priest

Roman Catholic priest Fr. Mario Alexis Portella has spoken openly about the threat of Islamic jihad in an interview with Marcello Mancini, which was printed in Italian newspaper La Vertià on 22 November.

Speaking on the true nature of Islam, Father Portella said:

“Only one has to look at the original Islamic texts that speak the truth; those texts, however, are ignored by scholars and activists who maintain that they are being misinterpreted by those who terrorism and the Islamization of the world. It is simply not true.”

When asked for an example, Father Portella responded:

“It suffices to read the content of along in the fifth verse of the named sura (the last fundamental chapter of the Quran) which indicates how Muslims are supposed to behave with Christians, Jews, and other non-Muslims: ‘And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give alms, let them [go]on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.’”

Portella went on to respond to a question put to him by Mancini on the West’s move towards limiting freedom of speech and tendency to label those who question Islamists’ intentions as islamophobic:

“Here it is necessary to distinguish a Muslim from an Islamist. The former is he who submits to the religion of the prophet Muhammed, while the latter is an intellectual, such as an imam who takes upon himself to speak for Islam.

“In practical terms, Islamists have infiltrated government posts and lobbyists, such as the United Nations, and from that strategic position, they have been able to convince the heads of state through the soft law, to criminalize any sort of criticism against Islam. In this manner, they can embed themselves in society even more.”

In the interview, Father Portella also covered topics such as the future of Christians in Iraq, the discourse of Pope Benedict XVI at Regensburg, and Pope Francis.

On the future of the relationship between Muslims and Christianity, Father Portella said that “In order to have a reciprocal dialogue, it is necessary for the imams who sustain the words in the Quran in a fundamentalist manner to revise their book.

“Above all, they must correct the hadiths (the sayings and acts of the Prophet) which justify violence.”

Major Democrat, Clinton Donor Indicted for Fraud, Violating Iran Sanctions

Three executives connected to a defense contractor were charged for allegedly defrauding the United States military and for breaking U.S. sanctions on Iran. One of them was a significant contributor to the Democratic party, former State Secretary Hillary Clinton, and former President Bill Clinton.

The contractor, the Dubai-based Anham corporation, lied to the military in order to get an $8 billion 10-year contract in 2012 to supply food for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. It also had materials and equipment shipped through Iran—in violation of U.S. sanctions—to cut costs, the prosecutors said.

One of the defendants, former Anham chief executive Abdul Huda Farouki, is a prominent Democratic donor. He and his wife Samia gave the party and its candidates over $320,000 since the 1990s, including over $13,000 to the various campaigns of the Clintons, according to OpenSecrets.org. Farouki was also a member of the Clinton Global Initiative project.

The other defendants are Farouki’s brother Mazen, who headed a logistics company closely tied to Anham, and Salah Maarouf, who ran a company that procured goods and services for Anham.

Fake Construction

The massive supply contract required the contractor to have large warehouses to store food in Afghanistan. Anham claimed that the process of constructing such warehouses would be done well before the contract was to be awarded. But that was a lie, according to the indictment (pdf). The construction had barely started months after the company submitted its bid. To get the contract, the company arranged equipment and machinery “to create the false appearance of an active construction site,” the indictment alleges.

Sanctions

As the company finally progressed with the construction, it shipped major components of the warehouses through Iran in violation of sanctions placed on Iran by the Obama administration.

When the violation was reported in 2013 by The Wall Street Journal, Farouki lied to the Defense Department, saying Anham’s senior leadership didn’t know about the plan to ship through Iran. The defendants, in fact, “routinely discussed in internal communications the transshipment of warehouse components through Iran, for the purpose of saving time and decreasing the need to expend costs for the project prior to the awarding of the … contract,” the indictment reads.

Trucks Through Iran

In 2012, Anham also received at least $423 million in a Defense Department contract for trucking services in Afghanistan.

Similarly to the warehouse components, the company shipped trucks through Iran, “rather than ship trucks to Afghanistan using legal but relatively expensive routes,” the Justice Department stated in a Nov. 29 release.

The defendants were each charged with two counts of major fraud, one count of conspiracy to violate the restrictions on doing business with Iran, four counts of substantive violations of those restrictions, and one count of conspiracy to commit international money laundering.

They made their initial appearance on Nov. 29, before D.C. Magistrate Judge Michael Harvey. All were arraigned and pleaded not guilty. The next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 6, before D.C. District Judge Trevor McFadden, an appointee of President Donald Trump.

The case was investigated by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations in Washington, and by investigators at the office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction.

NetRoots Hosts Panels on 'White Supremacy' in the Progressive Movement

On Saturday, the NetRoots Nation conference hosted a panel on "white supremacy" in the progressive movement. From reports on Twitter, it seemed more focused on letting people of color on stage in Democratic activism rather than a deep discussion into the Progressive movement's racist history — or the targeting of black women for abortion.

Lucia Martínez, digital campaign manager at Free Press, tweeted thanks to "everyone who joined our session on white progressive f*ckery at [NetRoots 2018]!"

She shared a poster for the event entitled "White Progressive F*ckery (If you don't think you need this session, you probably do."

"Let’s have a conversation abouth [sic] white supremacy within the progressive movement: what does it look like , what are the impacts, and how can we dismantle it together?" the event description read. "This session will center the stories of people of color but we hope that white folks will join to listen, learn and strategize with us."

Doug Foote, digital strategy director at Veracity Media, tweeted a quote likely from Kihani Brea, a policy analyst at New York City Council.

"Often when these trainings teach you how to be the 'right politician' they mean the 'white politician,'" Brea said. "I can't hide my blackness in order to get your votes."

Miriam-Webster defines "white supremacist" as "a person who believes that the white race is inherently superior to other races and that white people should have control over people of other races."

A recent Yale study found that white liberals tend to condescend to African-Americans, presenting themselves as less competent and less educated. Despite this, the prominence of white politicians does not prove a mainstream "white supremacy" on either the Left or the Right.

Mother Forcing Transgenderism on 6-Year-Old Son May Suffer From a Mental Disorder, Pediatrician Says

In a particularly tragic divorce proceeding, a mother who forces a transgender identity on her 6-year-old son James is accusing the boy's father of child abuse because he refers to the boy as male. The father responded by offering James a choice of boy's clothes and girl's clothes, and the boy constantly chooses the male options while away from his mother.

Dr. Michelle Cretella, vice president of the American College of Pediatricians, told PJ Media that the mother may be suffering from a mental disorder. "This case is consistent with a diagnosis of Munchausen by proxy," she said.

"This is a disorder in which an adult feigns either physical or psychological condition in a child for their own subconscious reasons," the pediatrician explained. "Most often the perpetrator is the biological mother and she often has a background in health or medicine."

"In the case of imposing gender dysphoria on a son, there are cases in the scientific literature of severe maternal depression triggered in a mother longing for a daughter," Cretella added. "The mother's depression lifts when the boy dresses and acts as a girl. This has been termed 'gender mourning.'"

The pediatrician admitted, "I obviously cannot diagnose anyone based on newspaper reports." She further insisted "this may not be malicious on the mother's part. She may sincerely believe she is doing right by James."

WebMD confirms Cretella's description of the mental disorder "Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP)." MSP "affects a primary caretaker, often the mother," and a "person with MSP gains attention by seeking medical help for exaggerated or made-up symptoms of a child in his or her care." As medical professionals tend to the child or proxy, "the deliberate actions of the mother or caretaker can often make the symptoms worse."

Walt Heyer, a speaker and author who once identified as transgender and now runs SexChangeRegret.com, drew attention to James' case last week in a Federalist article. As Heyer noted, a medical diagnosis of "gender dysphoria" involves a "persistent, consistent, and insistent" identification with the gender opposite one's birth sex. But James's identity is inconsistent.

"Meanwhile, Dad isn’t seeing signs of gender dysphoria. In the father’s home, James appears to be a normal boy and doesn’t identify as a girl. He has a choice of boy’s or girl’s clothes there, and he chooses to dress as a boy," Heyer reported. "The fact that James changes gender identity depending on which parent is present makes the diagnosis of gender dysphoria both dubious and harmful."
