Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov revealed on Saturday that Michael Cohen stopped contacting him about Trump building a property in Moscow
Peskov showed reporters at the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires on Friday two emails from Cohen asking for a meeting with Putin officials. Dates weren't shown
Peskov said Putin's administration called Cohen and told him they did not deal with construction, and then he didn't hear from Cohen again
Cohen pleaded guilty on Thursday to lying about when he stopped trying to negotiate building a Trump Tower in Russia, first saying it was in January 2016
But Cohen admitted to working towards the project in June of 2016, after Trump had clinched the Republican nomination for presidential candidacy
