Yes this circumstance has been discussed on and off in the breads for the last day or so.

 

There are cases from history (not American) of a state funeral being used to corral (and arrest, imprison, or kill) the leaders of an outgoing regime.

 

A random example that comes to mind is Vietnam in the year 1225. Worked great in fact.

Any chance Carter is attending the G20 as a member of the U.S. delegation? I seem to recall that he is still sometimes called on to represent the U.S. on certain diplomatic missions.

 

I get the sense that DJT does not harbor against Carter the same type of resentment he does against Hussein or the Bushes. I could see DJT and Carter working together on certain projects.
