The Heather O’Rourke case has been updated.

We now know exactly what happened to her on set of Rocky Road, in a way that takes the details of the autopsy into account.

Heather was anally violated with a foreign object. Said foreign object (believed to be made of metal or other hard material) perforated her rectum (part of colon) and injured her small intestine (the ileum, ie the last 3rd section) via either blunt force or penetrative trauma.

Giardia infection (can be spread through anal sex, likely in preproduction of Poltergeist 3) likely infects ileum.

The two incidents and others combined lead to her septic infection and intestinal stenosis, killing her.
