PANIC IN DC.
Every time I see this I hear David Bowie's PANIC IN DETROIT in my head.
Coincidence? Maybe not.
A quick look at the Wikipedia entry for the song finds that it was based on Bowie friend Iggy Pop's descriptions of revolutionaries he had known in Michigan[1] and Pop's experiences during the 1967 Detroit riots.[2]

The song describes a "revolutionary" (probably cabal subversive contributing to division in the country) who tells Iggy that he knows the authorities are closing in on him. Iggy leaves the flat. When he returns later, the subversive has shot himself.
Subversives hiding out. White hats closing in. Suicide. PANIC IN…take your pick of locals. No coincidences.
p.s. how did Iggy Pop wind up hanging out with subversives? In Detroit? At the time of the riots which lasted five days? Coincidence? A B level BRITISH pop star just happens to be in town? MI-6 anyone? Was he more than just Bowie's pal? Handler maybe? Much stranger things seem to be coming true.
