Sitting in a lecture in the Cold War today. Professor is retired Marine Col, with a Spook clown dad, so he has interesting info to share on certain subjects. (Not name fagging in any way just giving backstory) Anyways, listening to him today- it sounds like this is the beginning of where US and China relations began. Nixon sets the stage for Chinese businesses to rise. Claiming “to fix their economy” He shocked the hell out of everyone by heading to China after 25 years of giving cold shoulders and silence. Met w/ Premier Enlai and Chairman Mao Zedong. And who led the way? Kissinger of course. It was extradinary enough that Nixon called his week in China "the week that changed the world".
Here’s also some info on it: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon%27s_1972_visit_to_China
This was also the time GHWB was Ambassador to U.N.
As well as none other than Feinstein and her connections (pic related) https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154339513311984&id=562941983
We may have come across all of this. But really interesting to hear about it in a lecture today.
