Laura Ingraham & Nigel Farage on proposed UN ban against criticizing open migration

Laura Ingraham talked with Nigel Farage about the new UN Global Pact that would make it an act of hate speech to criticize the right of people to openly migrate between countries. The Pact would make migration a universal human right and prohibit criticism of migration.
"It will become a criminal offense. And media outlets–and that also concerns you [the members of the press]–that give rise to criticism of migration can be shut down," said Marcel de Graaff, a European Pariament Member.
Laura: Could this [actually] come to pass?
Nigel: EU wants to make migration a human right. What it also wants to do is to make illegal migration legal by defining a refugee as anyone that wants to move between countries…it wants to make us all global citizens…The most worrying part is the section on the media, where it says very clearly that media outlets who are intolerant, critical, xenophobic or racist in their criticism of mass migration–…thankfully the UN itself doesn't have legal power.
Laura: But doesn't this also operate as a framework for international human rights cases?…Under a different Supreme Court, it could be referenced….[fortunately], in this case, it becomes another international norm [like climate change]…[But] just talking about…migrants [receiving social welfare]…could be considered hateful.
Nigel: This is an attempt by the UN to make any criticism of mass migration something that should be considered criminal…they will favor media outlets that….promote their ideas materially…[even] funding media outlets that support their view….. The European Union is the prototype for the globalists….[They] demonize those who take a different view.
Laura: And they also marginalize voices [from alternative media like Youtube/Twitter]…they're making judgment calls on who is and is not members of the "acceptable" club….
[plays soundbite from Merkel advocating for the rights of refugees to migrate]
Laura: I believe in standing up for refugees. But that doesn't mean that every country's borders have to remain open, if a global entity like the UN says, "You've got to do it."
Nigel: Just let's remember what a refugee is. There's a 1951 definition. It's a person in fear for their life or their liberty, because of their race, their religion, their views, their orientation. That doesn't mean that millions of people who have crossed the Mediterranean in the last couple of years were refugees…they weren't. They were economic migrants…You cannot open the door to mass millions and suddenly pretend that's ok."
He ended by saying that this is exactly what the UN is just trying to do: to bail out Angela Merkel and other politicians who have "made these huge mistakes" who encouraged people to migrate.
