Swedfag reflection:
Number of firearms in Sweden
I have heard here many saying that Sweden is fucked already, it's too late, everybody is brainwashed etc. That is a logical conclusion to make when observing the country through it's own media and through reporters from other media interviewing people in cities here. It's not a misrepresentable conclusion.
However. The people living in cities are a very small part of the population. Speaking to several friends in rural areas, I get described to me that they feel an uprising growing in nationalism and patriotism especially during this year. This leads me to another thing that is not generally known, which is the amount of firearms in this small country.
Following is parts of two articles translated into english:

Less well known is that Sweden is also high on the list of the world's most armed countries. Nearly two million registered firearms are in Swedish households.
"Sweden is the fifth most armed country in the world in relation to the population - after the United States, Yemen, Finland and Canada," said Carina Vangstad, police officer at the National Police Board.
The large amount of weapons is largely explained in Sweden's proud hunting traditions. Four out of five weapons are some kind of hunting rifle. Nearly one million bullets, 720,000 shotguns and 120,000 combination rifles. But in the statistics there are also 140,000 single-handed weapons, ie revolvers and guns, and a couple of thousand automatic weapons. These weapons are mainly owned by people who are active in shooting associations and compete in shooting.

In total there are about 1.9 million weapons registered in Sweden, of whom 1.6 million are hunting weapons, shotguns and bullet rifles. There are also 110,000 guns and revolvers, as well as a few different other automatic weapons. The extent to which semi-automatic or fully automated is difficult to say because it does not appear in the articles.
Maria Brahm, Group Chief of Police Legal Unit in the West, says to SVT News West that it is very unusual for legal weapons to be used in criminal activity. According to SVT data, about 270 licensed weapons are stolen every year, despite hard demands on security cabinets. If we compare it to the total number of weapons, or hunting weapon alone, then it is a non-question.
At the same time, legislators and investigators strive to propagate for harder weapons laws that affect legal weapons. This may be related to the seizure of 1300 illegal weapons last year. And it is still easier to find illegal weapons than a preschool.
