Yes, and this is why a truly meaningful punishment for these bastards would involve preventing them from implementing their occult post-mortem rites.
So many times as anons, we get caught up with the trials/tribunals, the terms of imprisonment, the manner of exectuion, etc., but all of those things only amount to half of what we should be paying attention to.
Certain scalar tech can actually be used at the deathbed to muck with their reincarnation cycle, trap the consciousness of the deceased, etc. I see no reason why it shouldn't be done.
