The Duchess of Sussex secretly attended Michelle Obama's talk in London on Monday night, it has been revealed.

Mother-to-be Meghan, 37, kept a low profile as she watched the former First Lady, 54, discuss her new autobiography with Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in front of a 2,700-strong audience at the Southbank Centre.

Following the event Meghan met Mrs Obama backstage, in what has been described as a 'power meeting'. The women are understood to have discussed a range of topics during the 'long private audience', including pregnancy, raising a family and their shared interest in promoting girls' education, the Evening Standard reported.

It is not known whether Meghan has met Mrs Obama before but the pair have not been seen together publicly.
