When the Donald promised to "drain the swamp" during the 2016 election campaign, it did sound vaguely like an attack on Big Government, and at least a directional desire to shrink the state and let free market capitalism breathe.
After 22 months in office, however, the truth is patently obvious: The only Swamp that Donald Trump wants to drain is one filled with his political enemies and policy adversaries at any given moment in time. Even then, you have to consult his tweetstorm ledger to know exactly who the swamp creatures de jure actually are.
Still, the Donald's daily Twitter assaults on the Deep State are a wondrous thing. They surely do undermine public confidence in rogue institutions like the FBI, CIA and NSA, which profoundly threaten America's constitutional liberties and fiscal solvency.
Likewise, his frequently unhinged tweets also lather their congressional sponsors and beltway poo-bahs with well-deserved mud and opprobrium. And the Donald's increasingly acrimonious public feuding with Deep State criminals like James Comey and John Brennan is just what the doctor ordered.

Nato accuses Russia of breaking nuclear missile treaty
Western military alliance Nato has formally accused Russia of breaching the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, which banned land-based nuclear missiles in Europe.
Following a meeting, Nato foreign ministers issued a statement supporting US accusations of Russian violations.
The US has threatened to withdraw from the treaty because of Russian actions.
Russia denied being in breach of the INF deal, saying it "strictly abides" by its conditions.
The deal banned ground-launched medium-range missiles with a range of 500-5,500km (310-3,400 miles).
"Allies have concluded that Russia has developed and fielded a missile system, the 9M729, which violates the INF Treaty and poses significant risks to Euro-Atlantic security," the Nato foreign ministers' statement reads.
"We strongly support the finding of the United States that Russia is in material breach of its obligations under the INF Treaty.
"We call on Russia to return urgently to full and verifiable compliance. It is now up to Russia to preserve the INF Treaty."

The new medium-range missile that the US - and now Nato - accuse Russian of deploying would enable Russia to launch a nuclear strike at Nato countries at very short notice.
Analysts say Russia sees such weapons as a cheaper alternative to conventional forces.
Speaking after the Nato statement was issued, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Russia had 60 days to return to compliance with the treaty, after which time the US would suspend its own compliance.
"During this 60 days we will still not test or produce or deploy any systems, and we'll see what happens during this 60-day period," he said.
"We've talked to the Russians a great deal. We're hopeful they'll change course, but there's been no indication to date that they have any intention of doing so."
Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was quoted by Interfax news agency as responding: "Russia strictly abides by the provisions of the [INF] treaty, and the American side knows this."

It’s ‘Killing People Everyday’: FOX Pushes Insane Anti-Weed Propaganda in Ridiculous 90-Second Clip
According to the sheriff on Fox & Friends, marijuana "is ruining families and killing people every day across the United States," and it needs to be stopped.
Fox News is no stranger to hating on weed. In fact, the Free Thought Project has reported on their insane reefer madness several times before. However, on this Monday’s episode of Fox & Friends, the propaganda and utter lies hit a new high—no pun intended.
On Monday, Fox and Friends was covering the story out of Mulberry, Florida in which a 12-year-old kid handed out THC gummies in a gym class at his middle school last week. At least five of his classmates went to the hospital with symptoms one would expect from a child ingesting marijuana—such as stomach pain, dizziness, and nausea.
Local media ran with the story, claiming all the kids were hospitalized and made it seem like it was the end of the world. And, while it is certainly a terrible idea for a child to eat a THC gummy, it is most assuredly not the end of the world—as marijuana has never killed anyone, ever. All the kids are now fine and the child who gave them the gummies faces seven felony charges for possessing and distributing marijuana.
After hyping up fear about the kids eating gummies, the folks at Fox & Friends went on to demonize marijuana in general. As if he had channeled the ghost of Henry Anslinger, Fox & Friends co-host, Brian Kilmeade began spewing ignorant lies and assertions, straight out of the 1930’s.
“No one talks about this — THC is addicting,” Kilmeade said. “I know so many people, they say they were told one thing and they end up getting addicted to it. That is an addicting substance. There is a price to pay for pot.”
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd then expressed his agreement and went further—claiming that marijuana is literally “killing people every day.”
“There absolutely is a price to pay for pot,” he said. “You know, I spent my entire life in law enforcement, and a lot of it investigating traffickers of drugs, and it is not a minor, nonviolent felony. It is ruining families and killing people every day across the United States and we stand here in denial thinking it is not a gateway drug.”
But the sheriff is the one in denial. Does sheriff Judd think that the countless epileptic children whose lives CBD and THC have saved have had their families ruined? Unfortunately, the only people ruining lives over marijuana are the ones kidnapping and caging people for having it—like sheriff Judd.
Moreover, there have been a myriad of studies proving that pot is not a gateway drug.
