A scheduling conference is a hearing during which the Court and the parties attempt to schedule the timeline of a given case.

Discovery deadlines, pre-trial conferences, trial, etc. are typical subjects for a scheduling conference.

A request for a transcript of a scheduling conference is interesting, because none of the parties are under oath. Except, lawyers have an obligation of candor to the court.

Some scheduling conferences aren't even on the record, but that doesn't seem to be the case here if the gov. is requesting transcripts
