I get the impression that this is timed so that important things happen while MSM is tied up in things like GHWB state funeral. It gives the effect of a media blackout without the administration having to ask for one. And the people who would have been warned by certain activities, have their attention tied up by the state funeral as well, so they cannot counter as quickly.
The rapid fire comes from the admin side, i.e. they have a plan for whatever counter they receive so they do not need to waste thinking time, but DS is hung up in confusion.
It is sci-fi to think that people can just touch the wall, and light, brighter than any candle, streams from the ceiling. You can imagine such a thing but you will NEVER see it in the real world.
