Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my deep regret at hearing that Sgt. Matthew Patten has been disciplined so severely by your office after he was photographed wearing a “QAnon” patch during a visit with Vice President Mike Pence.
The patch itself read “question everything” and of course I can’t help but question what the true motivation behind this decision was. I suspect it was political, and that your office is bowing to political pressure in a misguided pressure to cater to a nonexistent sea of public opinion that you feel the media represents.
Let me tell you that the media couldn’t be more out of line with the views of Americans, the majority of whom respect and admire men like Sgt. Matthew Patten and will regard your actions with cowardice if you do not take steps to remedy them and restore this good and honarable man to his rightful position.
Please consider that this is a nation where we still value integrity, and the reality of judgement in eternity will always be far more meaningful than the judgement we levy against each other here on earth. Do the right thing.
