Putin: If US pulls out of nuclear treaty, Russia will too

The US had threatened to pull out of a Cold War-era pact after NATO determined that Russia had already violated it

Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to pull out of a Cold War-era nuclear treaty if the U.S. does the same.

What treaty?

The United States and the Soviet Union signed the Intermediate-range (INF) treaty in 1987, during the tail end of Ronald Reagan's presidency. Under the terms of the treaty, neither nation could own any "ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges of between 500 and 5,500 kilometers, their launchers and associated support structures and support equipment." The treaty is set to expire in 2021, but Russia has expressed an interest in having it renewed.

What led to this?

In October, the U.S. accused Russia of violating the treaty by owning a Novator 9M729 missile. Russia dismissed these accusations as “aggressive rhetoric." However, NATO later determined that Russia had acted in violation of the treaty.

On Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Russia had 60 days to come back into compliance with the treaty, or the United States would pull out of it.

What did Putin say?

“Apparently, our American partners believe that the situation has changed so drastically that the U.S. should also have such weapons," Putin said Wednesday. “What response is our side to give? A simple one: then we'll do the same."

He also insisted that the U.S. had provided “no evidence" that Russia had violated the treaty, despite NATO's determination.

If the United States pulled out of a pact between the two nations, it's not clear what difference it would make for Putin to abandon a then-nonexistent treaty. Also, the U.S. is threatening to pull out of the deal only after NATO determined that Putin was already in violation, so Russia has already effectively abandoned the treaty. However, if Russia did formally pull out of the agreement, that could mean that Russia would be more blatant in its pursuit of weapons that would violate the treaty.

Russia’s Chief Of General Staff: If INF Treaty Is Canceled, Responsive Measures Will Target States Hosting US Missiles

On December 4th, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that Russia has 60 days to start ‘complying’ to the INF, otherwise the US will finalize its withdrawal.

According to Pompeo, Russia has developed “multiple battalions of the SSC-8 missiles,” in a move that allegedly falls outside of the Cold War-era arms agreement.

“Its range makes it a direct menace to Europe,” he said after a summit with NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels.

Pompeo said that the US would not produce, deploy or test any such systems during the 60-day period.

“During these 60 days we will still not test or produce or deploy any systems, and we’ll see what happens during this 60-day period. We’ve talked to the Russians a great deal. We’re hopeful they’ll change course, but there’s been no indication to date that they have any intention of doing so.”

NATO expressed its support to the US demands in own statement. The statement reiterated that the US and other allied states have continuously raised their concerns and warned Russia to comply to the INF.

“Allies have concluded that Russia has developed and fielded a missile system, the 9M729, which violates the INF Treaty and poses significant risks to Euro-Atlantic security. We strongly support the finding of the United States that Russia is in material breach of its obligations under the INF Treaty,” the statement read.

The statement also absolves the US from any possible doubt that it may have also breached the INF, despite Russia repeatedly accusing it of doing so.

“The United States has remained in full compliance with its obligations under the INF Treaty since it entered into force. Allies have emphasized that the situation whereby the United States and other parties fully abide by the Treaty and Russia does not, is not sustainable.”

EU wants INF Treaty 'preserved and fully implemented', foreign policy chief notes

BRUSSELS, December 5. /TASS/. EU countries want the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) to be preserved and fully implemented, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, said upon arrival at the NATO Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Wednesday.

"For the European Union, it (the INF Treaty) is key to our security. It is a fundamental pillar of our security architecture in Europe, and we want to see this preserved and fully implemented," she stated.

US, NATO ultimatum

US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said on Tuesday that the US would stop adhering to the treaty unless Russia returns to compliance with it within 60 days. Also, the NATO Foreign Ministers on Tuesday urged Russia to urgently return to full and verifiable compliance with the INF Treaty, pointing out that it is now up to Moscow to preserve the deal.

US President Donald Trump publicly announced plans to pull out of the INF Treaty on October 20 and October 22.

The first time that the US had accused Russia of violating the INF Treaty was back in July 2014. After that Washington has repeated its allegations several times, with which Moscow does not agree, striking back at Washington with counterclaims.

The INF Treaty was signed between the Soviet Union and the United States on December 8, 1987 in Washington, DC and took effect on June 1, 1988. The INF Treaty eliminated operational and non-operational medium-range (1,000-5,500 kilometers) and shorter-range (500-1,000 kilometers) ground-launched missiles.

Is this part of the plan

Putin says yesterday that he's fully compliant with the INF treaty and the US know it.

Then today he says:

“Apparently, our American partners believe that the situation has changed so drastically that the U.S. should also have such weapons," Putin said Wednesday. “What response is our side to give? A simple one: then we'll do the same."

>>4166086

So he'll also pull out of the agreement.

>>4166114

Russia says if they pull out they will target EU countries who have US/Cabal weapons.

>>4166114

Then NATO blinks and says:

"For the European Union, it (the INF Treaty) is key to our security. It is a fundamental pillar of our security architecture in Europe, and we want to see this preserved and fully implemented,"

This is a brilliant move to check mate the EU and NATO.

Well played!

Two Child Sex Predators Apprehended in Two Days by Border Patrol

Rio Grande Valley Sector agents arrested two child sex predators in separate incidents near the Texas-Mexico border over the past weekend. The migrants had convictions for sexual offenses involving minors in Florida and Minnesota.

Agents assigned to the Fort Brown Station apprehended a group of eight migrants near a park located in South Padre Island, Texas, on December 1. The agents arrested the migrants and transported them to the Fort Brown Station for processing, according to Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

All aliens arrested by Border Patrol agents undergo a comprehensive biometric background investigation to uncover any previous criminal convictions or immigration violations. During the course of this investigation, agents learned that one of the men has a history of previous deportations and an arrest and conviction in St. Paul, Minnesota. The court in St. Paul convicted the illegal immigrant for sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual performance.

McAllen Station agents patrolling near Mission, Texas, came upon a Guatemalan man who just crossed the border illegally from Mexico. The agents transported the illegal alien to the McAllen station for processing and a background investigation. That investigation uncovered a previous arrest and conviction in Manatee County, Florida, officials reported. The Florida court convicted the man for obscene communications with a child and travel with the intent to meet after use of a computer to lure the child.

Both men are subject to federal prosecution for aggravated re-entry after removal as a sex offender. If convicted, the criminal aliens could face up to 20 years in federal prison before being deported to their home country.

Breitbart News has reported extensively on previously deported sex offenders and other criminal aliens who are stopped by Border Patrol agents from successfully re-entering the United States.

British MP’s Release Seized Facebook Documents Exposing Advertising Practices

A group of British MP’s, seemingly upset at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s refusal to appear before the U.K. Parliament, have released a cache of seized Facebook documents. The documents outline many of Facebook’s practices around advertising.

BBC News reports the U.K. Parliament’s fake news inquiry has published a number of seized Facebook documents, which include emails between senior members of Facebook staff and other employees. The cache — which is approximately 250 pages long and was marked as “highly confidential” — was obtained from Six4Three, a startup app company that is suing Facebook.

One document from the cache is allegedly the contents of an email sent by Mark Zuckerberg outlining how Facebook could press advertisers for more money to access user data, saying: “Reading anything, including friends, costs a lot of money.”

Exhibit 170 – Mark Zuckerberg discussing linking data to revenue

Mark Zuckerberg email – dated 7 October 2012

‘I’ve been thinking about platform business model a lot this weekend…if we make it so devs can generate revenue for us in different ways, then it makes it more acceptable for us to charge them quite a bit more for using platform. The basic idea is that any other revenue you generate for us earns you a credit towards whatever fees you own us for using plaform. For most developers this would probably cover cost completely. So instead of every paying us directly, they’d just use our payments or ads products. A basic model could be:

Login with Facebook is always free

Pushing content to Facebook is always free

Reading anything, including friends, costs a lot of money. Perhaps on the order of $0.10/user each year.

For the money that you owe, you can cover it in any of the following ways:

Buys ads from us in neko or another system

Run our ads in your app or website (canvas apps already do this)

Use our payments

Sell your items in our Karma store.

Or if the revenue we get from those doesn’t add up to more that the fees you owe us, then you just pay us the fee directly.’

Damian Collins, the chair of the Culture, Media and Sport select committee, used a rare and unusual parliamentary mechanism to force the founder of U.S. based software company Six4Three to hand over documents relating to Facebook when he was visiting the U.K. on a business trip recently. Parliament went as far as sending a sergeant-at-arms to the software company founder’s hotel with a warning and two-hour deadline to comply with its order and hand over the documents. When he failed to do so, he was escorted to Parliament where he was informed he faced heavy fines and even imprisonment for not complying.

Poroshenko Government May Stage Chemical Attack To Provoke New Round Of Hostilities In Eastern Ukraine

The military command of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) received information regarding several scenarios of a Ukrainian offensive in Donbass. The details of the alleged Kiev plan were announced by the deputy chief of the People’s Militia of the DPR Eduard Basurin on December 4.

“Our intelligence obtained reliable data on the training of Western curators, together with the Ukrainian command of several options for the offensive,” Basurin said in a statement.

Most notably, there is allegedly a chemical attack being planned in the Kiev-controlled settlements in the Gorlovka area in eastern Ukraine. Prior to this, intelligence suggested that the preparation of such a scenario was being prepared by British experts.

The DPR Militia stated that in Mariupol bloody provocations are being prepared on land and sea. Both scenarios are designed for numerous casualties among the civilian population and the armed forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the subsequent accusation in this of the forces of the People’s Militia.

“This occasion will immediately be used to deliver a massive missile and air strike on the critical objects of the Republics. In particular, artillery and aviation will hit the places that store military equipment, established by the Minsk agreements, weapons and fuel warehouses, civilian infrastructure,” Basurin said.

The People’s Militia didn’t rule out that these scenarios can be implemented consecutively, “to guarantee the image of the tyrant in the face of the Republic’s leadership in the eyes of the international community and justify the total mobilization of Ukrainian citizens into the ranks of Ukrainian military.”

On December 5, concerns about a possible staged chemical attack in eastern Ukraine were repeated by a spokesperson for the Russian Foriegn Ministry Mariya Zakharova.

“We are calling on the OSCE [Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] monitoring mission to intensify their activities in Donbas. What is needed is a comprehensive picture on the military preparations by Ukraine, not some fragmented pieces of information,” she said.

Bulgaria will not sign UN Migration Pact “to protect the interests of the country and its citizens”

Bulgaria joins countries in support of their country’s sovereignty and will not sign the U.N. Migration pact.

On Wednesday Bulgaria’s centre-right government made the statement that they will not be attending the U.N. meeting in Marrakech next week and will not sign the agreement.

“At this stage, the Bulgarian government believes that the decision not to join the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, protects to the fullest extent the interests of the country and its citizens,” the Balkan country’s statement said.

They have already taken steps towards stopping illegal migration, as it lies on one of the main migratory routes from the Middle East to Western Europe, and steps to protect the EU’s external borders.

Other countries who have either said they won’t be signing, a few of whom include Poland, Hungary, Israel, the Czech Republic and in the Netherlands a new poll shows 41 per cent are against signing the pact.

It begins: Party that wants to “make Spain great again” storms the polls

As Voice of Europe reported, for the first time in decades a right-wing party won seats in a large Spanish region.

By gaining 12 parliamentary seats in Andalusia, Vox shocked and gave a strong blow to Spain’s left.

For a lot of Spaniards the result of Santiago Abascal’s Vox came as a surprise, but probably not for the leader himself. We are “in step with what millions of Spaniards think,” Abascal said earlier.

Polls since January this year show that Vox received five times more support in Spain. A recent poll even shows the party is at 10 per cent of the vote.

Never Forget: George Bush's Wars Set The Stage For 25 Years Of Endless War

By 1989, it had become apparent to all - everyone except the CIA, of course - that the Soviet economy, and thus the Soviet state was in very deep trouble.

In November 1989, the Berlin Wall came down in the face of Soviet impotence. And, with the Cold-War corpse not even cold yet, president George Bush used the newly apparent Soviet weakness as an opportunity to expand US foreign interventionism beyond the limits that had been imposed on it by a competing Soviet Union. Over the next decade, Bush and his successor Bill Clinton — who very much carried on Bush's ideals of global interventionism — would place Iraq, Somalia, and Yugoslavia in the crosshairs
