PM Khamis to Slovak delegation: Terrorist war against Syria failed
During the meeting, Khamis stressed the importance of revealing the truth about the terrorist war against the Syrian people to the European public opinion which has been flooded with Western media fabrications, underlining the necessity of cooperation between progressive parties and exchanging expertise in all fields in a way that reflects positively on the interests of their peoples. Khamis indicated that Syria is on road to sealing a victory over terrorism and restoring safety to all areas, affirming that the terrorist war has failed to undermine Syria’s sovereignty and independent national decision thanks to the Syrian people’s support for their army and leadership.

Syrian Army Eliminates Group Of Radical Militants In Northern Lattakia
“A unit of the SAA, based in the northern Lattakia countryside, clashed with a terrorist group, which attempted to infiltrate and attack a military position located in [the village of] Ayn al-Hur, 5km north of the town of Kinsabba on the Lattakia-Jisr al-Shughur highway,” a military source told SANA.
This new violation of the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement was likely carried out by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Horas al-Din or Ajnad al-Kavkaz or the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) or Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The four radical groups control almost all the opposition-held area in the northern Lattakia countryside.

Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Boosts Its Presence In Idlib Demilitarized Zone Retaking Positions From Turkish-backed Militants
As it has been noted by multiple experts, the Idlib demilitarized zone agreement itself is not enough to put an end to violence in the northwestern part of Syria. The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Turkish-backed militant groups have done nothing to eliminate Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) in Idlib. So, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham is now working to boost its presence in the “demilitarized zone”.
Recently, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured the village of Zayzun and several nearby points in western Hama from the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NLF). Zayzun is located in the demilitarized zone and is supposed to be free of radicals and heavy weapons. However, this appears to be far from the reaility.
According to local sources, the NFL, without a direct TAF assistance, is not capable of preventing the further expansion of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, which had exploited the ceasefire [started in September] to regroup and resupply own forces.
