he even said that parents are free to "lie to their children about santa not being real" in the same way the he's allowed to point out potential flaws with lying to your children.

surely one with a psychological understanding, and especially a childhood development understanding would realize that risking damaging the bond with your children is certain a circumstance worthy of notice.
