The host asks Mueller to share a story about the time the acting AG at the time (John D. Ashcroft) was ill and hospitalized. Mueller (acting FBI director) and James Comey (Deputy AG) at the time pretty much blew the whistle because the white house was pressuring them to sign papers reauthorizing the domestic surveillance program secretly launched after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. They tried to get the acting ill AG in an ICU to sign the papers while he was sick. Ashcroft couldn't do it and refused to do so, and Comey and Mueller threatened to raise hell.

Makes me think about what we know with the FISA abuse.

Makes me wonder what James Comey testifying in a closed session, what does he know? Why does he want us to know so badly?

Also makes me wonder about Mueller exonerating Flynn completely, who also worked with Obama as his DIA director for 2 years yet only as NSA director for Trump for 24 days.
