Perhaps Pres. Trump as representing the American people did not recite a Christian Creed because government and religion are created separate in our great Republic.

To recite that creed in public, at such an event, as the alleged funeral of an impossibly evil man, would be taken seriously.

He would be taking the oath as a representative of ALL the people and that would be wrong.

A prayer is different from an Oath.

Trump is a man who takes his word seriously.

The others don't care if they are lying.

For POTUS to entone that oath in public would be to show favoritism to that religion.

The President is not a religious position. He is President of everyone; of all faiths.

He must be loyal to his oath of office, first.

He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone by an Christmas oath of dogma. God sees in everyone's heart.
